Hope you had a really nice weekend and that you started off well this new week. Now, If you follow me on Facebook, you probably know that last week I received some exciting nail mail, more exactly, my first Color Club polishes. I know, I know, I have enough polishes but trust me when I say that these ones are very special, at least I see them that way.
Today, I'm going to introduce you to Color Club East Austin, a gorgeous neon coral from Girl About Town Collection.
First, I have to say that I did not expect once for this polish to be such a powerful neon. In all the swatches that I saw on the internet it looked more like a pastel coral and that was the main reason that made me order it. You can imagine the face that I did when I received it. Personally, I like darker polishes or pastel ones and this one is way to neon for my taste.
East Austin is part of the Color Club Girl About Town Fall 2013 collection, yeah you read well, fall collection. It's a very vibrant coral creme that was kind of hard to capture with my camera. The formula is kind of tricky but I've seen worse. For today's swatches I used 2 coats of East Austin over Kiko base coat. The drying time is average and the lasting power pretty good, around 5 days till it starts to chip off .
Although this polish doesn't look so good on my fingers alone, it looks great in combination with other polishes and later this week I will show you exactly what I'm talking about. Even though it's part of a fall collection, I think that East Austin is the perfect summer polish. Even if I had a shock at first, now I am happy that I have it in my collection and I can't want to create new mani's with it.
What do you think of East Austin ? Let me know your opinions in the comment box below.
Till next time, take care and don't forget to smile !
