Hello my lovely friends!
Boy, it's good to to back! You guys have no idea how much I wanted to get back on my blog and I so happy that I finally can do that. As you know, it's been quite a busy time for me lately and today I will tell you a little of how my life has changed after I gave birth to my precious little girl. So, if you are curious, grab a coffee and enjoy the read!
Taking a look back, I see that my last post was around May. Then I was eight months pregnant and I found out that I have pre-eclampsia. For those of you who are not familiar with the term, pre-eclampsia is a pregnancy condition that features high blood pressure, fluid retention and proteinuria. Because of this, I ended up one week in the hospital and after several tests, the doctors decided to operate me 3 weeks earlier than it was initially scheduled.
I was very scared about giving birth in The Netherlands from the first time I found out that I was pregnant. Why? Well, everything here is so different than in Romania and I did not know what to expect. I was happy to find out that I can have a c-section, because that's what I wanted from the very begining, but I freaked out when I heard that here c-sections are done with a spinal anesthesia. The simple thought of beeing awake while someone cuts you open was way to much to handle at that time. With that beeing said, on the 12.06.2015 at 8.52, I finally saw our little miracle, our chubby cheeked girl. The operation went super, it did not hurt as I was expecting it to hurt, the spinal was more than ok and in no time I could enjoy our little princess.
We named her Sara Amelia, Sara is the name that her big sis Bianca chose and Amelia is the name that I had in mind for her. Poor daddy had to go along with his girls, but he does like the name that we picked very much :)
Now. our sweetie pie is almost 6 weeks and she lightens up our whole life. We still adjust to our new life in 4 and she adjusts to her life outside the womb. How is it life to have another baby, after 8 years have passed? Well, it's certainly not easy, but it's not as hard as it was when I had my first daughter Bianca. Now I knew what to expect, I know more things than I knew then and that makes it a whole lot easier.
What are my plans for the future? Well, first of all, I have to take care of my family and I really hope that soon, I will find more time to be more active on my blog and on social media. I miss that, but at the moment I have to take my time and take it easy. My agenda is full of blog post ideas, so you may expect to hear from me soon enough.
Of course, I can't just write a post about my baby girl without showing you guys a picture, right? Here she is, at her one month anniversary. I tried my best to make some nice pictures, but since I haven't touched the camera in quite some time, I became a little clumsy, hope you like them :)
