Morphe Brushes Single Eyeshadow Swatch & Review

  Hello my lovely friends!
I got introduced to Morphe Brushes products at the end of last year. First, I bought the amazing 35T palette (review coming soon) and after that I really wanted to try out some of their single eyeshadows. Of course, with Morphe Brushes you have to be really lucky when you place an order, because most of the time, their eyeshadows are sold out.
I decided to stay on the pinky side with these eyeshadows and I am pretty happy with my order. If you are curious to see my opinion about these beauties and some swatches, read on!
It was very difficult to pick only 5 eyeshadows from all the shades available at Morphe Brushes. Some of the shades I had on my wishlist were out of stock, so I had to find some replacements. In the end I went for: Lustrous (ES6), Pretty in Pink (ES57), Wink for Pink (ES33), Rosewood (ES59) and Radiance (ES53).

Left to wright: Pretty in Pink, Wink for Pink, Lustrous, Radiance and Rosewood.

These eyeshadows come in a small black cardboad envelope that has a magnetic bottom. I thought it's a very nice touch, because if you don't have an empty palette to store them in, you can let them in their original packaging and not worry that they will get ruined. Since the Zpalette is kind of pricey, I decided to order an empty palette from Ebay and I can say that they fit perfect in it!

The quality of the eyeshadows is pretty awesome, considering the price. For only 2.29$, you get great pigmentation, silky texture and good lasting power. I was so pleasantly surprised by the high quality these eyeshadows have. Another plus for me is the fact that these shadows have very little, almost to none, fallout.
Since I did not find many swatches on the Internet for the single eyeshadows I bought them by looking at the official picture showed on the site. I have to say that some of the colors are way more brighter than I expected, so keep that in mind and do some research before you place an order.

Lustre (ES6) - Is described as a soft golden peacky brown with a matte finish. Now, I believe that they made a mistake, because for me this shadow looks pearly and not matte. It's a very light color, that can be used as a highlighter too, applied in a small quantity.
Wink for Pink (ES33) - A soft baby pink with a pearl finish. A very delicate and feminine color.
Pretty in Pink (ES57) - Cotton candy pink with a matte finish. This one was a surprise, because I did not expect for the color to be so bright. I love the texture of this eyeshadow. Usually, all the matte eyeshadows that I had, were pretty dry, but not this one. It's so buttery and applies like a dream!
Rosewood (ES59) - Vibrant cran - purple with a matte finish. I loved this shade from the first time I saw it at my friend Elisa. I knew that I might not be able to use it, because it's a very bright shade for me, but I wanted to have it anyway, just to look at it. I know it sounds crazy :)
Radiance (ES53) - A deep purple shade with a pearl finish. This shade is awesome! I love it! Lately I've been wearing only this shade for my daily makeup, that's how much I love it.
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I love the shades and I plan to add more shades from Morphe in my collection pretty soon.

Tip: Before you decide to purchase individual eyeshadows from Morphe Brushes, check out their makeup palettes and see what shades from the individual eyeshadows you can find there. Most of the individual shadows can be found in a palette and there you get much more shades for a better price.
Have you tried Morphe Eyeshadows? What is your opinion about them? Are they worth the hype?

Until next time, take care and don't forget to smile!

  1. Am auzit ca sunt destul de faine fardurile astea. Si e misto ca le poti pune intr-o paleta magnetica! :)
