Fun activities for kids are not supposed to cost a lot of money. There are a lot of fun activities that only cost time, effort and energy. We have come up with some activities that you and your children will love during the summer holidays.
Going on a nature walk can be a lot of fun especially when you are on a picnic. You don’t have to stay at home for the perfect weather to come along. All you need is to pack a cardi and a rainmac along with your other picnic stuff. You will have a lot of fun spotting animals, climbing trees, taking photos and singing some silly songs during your walk in the park. It is not only a fun activity but if you would do this on a regular basis, your kids will build up stamina for walking and will learn how to appreciate nature.
You can also bring along some painting material which actually doesn’t cost a lot and you can have some fun painting rocks. My kids like to draw butterflies, bees and houses which look really cute and beautiful. We also collect a lot of sticks to make stick pictures that look like a giant person or a house which looks great. You can also bring those sticks back home to make a stick picture by painting them.
A lot of museums and art galleries offer free entry these days and can be a lot of fun for the kids and informative, don’t forget informative at the same time. You can also enjoy a lot of other activities with your kids in a nearby park like playing football, flying a kite, playing cricket, making perfumes out of wild flowers and the list goes on. You can also teach your kids gardening during their vacations which my kids love to do. You can also visit some free stuff websites, we recently came across WOW FreeStuff which offers some amazing kids freebies, including some days out which are free.
There are a lot of fun activities that can be arranged indoors during the summers. For example, take out your video camera and start filming a home movie and remember not to lose them ever! You can also ask your kids to write a letter one of their friends about how their summer is going, what fun activities they are up to and other stuff, which will not only develop their writing skills but will also be a fun activity for them. You can also ask them to make a homemade postcard and then decorate it with stamps and stickers.
