Finally peace and quiet, after two busy and noisy days, but thery're so worth it! Our house has been full of family and friends that came to celebrate our daughter's one year anniversary. One year....when did time pass so fast?
Since I shared all the important moments of my life with you, I felt that I had to write about this day also. I had many plans in mind for this special day. I looked on Pinterest every single day for ideas and themes, but in the end I just went with the flow and it turned out perfect!
The outfit: I am a very practical person, that is why I chose for her a dress that she can wear even after her special day has passed. I have to say that this dress succeeded in all my expectations. The only word that can describe it, would be GORGEOUS! I bought the dress from Next, I love their child collection, their prices are reasonable and the quality has never let me down.
Decorations: Although I wanted to go for a pink/gold theme, I went for colors instead. I searched the Internet for the perfect decorations, but I did not find anything that I liked, so I settled for some colored decorations that I found in my local store. Everyone thought that the final result looked lovely, the perfectionist in me still thinks it was room for better. Oh well, I learned my lesson for next year :)
Cake: At first I wanted to make the cake myself. I saw a lot of great recipes on Pinterest and was determined to do it. After I thought better, I decided that it would be like the end of the world to me if the cake won't turn out the way I wanted it to be, so better let this task in the hands of proffesionals. I chose to make the cake at the same bakkery that we did our wedding cake too, and what a good decision was that. The cake looked perfect and it tasted heavenly! Even Amelia loved it, and she is very picky with food.
In the end, everything turned out splendid! The guests were happy, I was happy and relieved at the same time, and most important, Amelia was happy!
If you read all this, thank you! It means a lot to me!
Untill next time, take care and don't forget to smile!
