As I was checking out my Pinterest profile the other day, I couldn't help and notice that more than half of my pins are about New York city. Well, I guess that shouldn't be a surprise because I've been dreaming of a New York trip ever since I was little. I know that might sound strange, I mean why would a ten-year-old dream about a trip to New York, but let me explain better. My mum had an aunt that lived there, so basically I grew up seeing pictures and hearing all kind of stories about the Big Apple. I remember how fascinating it was for me to listen to her stories and all the plans I was making after that. I was constantly daydreaming about New York, hoping that one day that day will come and I will get to see this great city.
Until that day comes, I plan and I plan because I want everything to be perfect and to enjoy every single second of my staying in the Big Apple. With that being said, I'd thought it will be fun to share with you all the plans that I've made so far and maybe even get some tips from you guys if you already visited New York. They don't call it Big Apple for nothing, New York has something interesting to see at every corner, so making a list with places that I want to see is a very difficult task. A useful tip that I can give you if you don't know it already, is to try and invest in a tourist pass. You save a lot of time (you can skip most of the lines) and you also save some money (usually you get tickets cheaper via a tourist pass than if you would buy tickets for every attraction that you want to visit).
The first thing that I want to see is the Statue of Liberty. This is a historical landmark and one of the most iconic symbols of New York. Of course, no trip to New York can happen without visiting the most well-known public park in the world, Central Park. I've seen it in movies, I've read about it and I can't wait to see it for real. The Brooklyn Bridge connects Manhattan and Brooklyn by spanning the East River. This is another landmark that I can't wait to see.
Because I love to take pictures and on a trip like this I want to take as many pictures as I can, visiting Top of the Rock is a must. I believe that everyone that visits New York has to see and capture the breathtaking skyline of this gorgeous city. Top of the Rock is on the top of Rockefeller Center, another great landmark that needs to be checked out. From here I can photograph the beautiful Empire State Building, a true emblem for the New York City skyline.
I also want to try and visit as many museums as I can, because we all know that New York has a lot of great museums, like the Metropolitan Museum of Art, American Museum of Natural History, Guggenheim Museum and many others.
The list of attractions that I want to see can go on forever because there is so much to see and to do in New York City, but I take it one step at a time. I will keep you posted with my plans and hopefully, I will fulfil my dream to see New York sooner than I thought like Frank Sinatra said: "If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere!"
