Spring Into A New You

As we are moving further into the spring season, now is the time to transfer what we are seeing around us into our own lives. Flowers are blooming, new life is being created, there's a general sense of happiness floating around the air. This can't directly be put unto us; it's not like we can physically start to bloom flowers, but the sentiment is there. We can try and bloom as a person, flourish and start anew.

You are never too old to start a new career - no matter what any media source is trying to tell you. Obviously there comes an age where you can retire, but for the majority of us that's still a good way away yet. You could study civil engineering courses, train to be a vet or even just get experience to put towards becoming a teacher … the world is your oyster! Especially as most of these courses are easily accessible to us now with a bit of hard work and determination. There are sites online which are only too willing to give you hints, tips and advice about what you need to do to follow the career path of your dreams. It's time to take the bull by the horns and jack in the day job if it's not what you want to be doing for the rest of your life. Although life is the longest thing you’ll ever do, it's also too short to waste by doing what you don't enjoy.

Now is the perfect time to spruce up your wardrobe in time for the warmer months. It's also the perfect time to experiment with any styles that you haven't done previously. Spring and summer give us the opportunity to flaunt ourselves without getting cold, and with the body positive community thriving at the moment, there has never been a better time to work with what you've got and make the most of it. Have you ever looked back on pictures of yourself and though “wow, I looked great then, but I didn't realise it!”? Now is your time to realise it, embrace it and make it as your own.

As much as throwing yourself into a new career and dabbling with new clothes may be all the refreshment you need, there does come a point where some people need to make bigger changes in their lifestyle to support it. This could be organising your workload better, making sure you have time for yourself or even spending more time with your loved ones. It can be the best opportunity to really get your life into some semblance of order, even if it seems like the most mundane excuse. In reality, you don't have to make any excuses to give yourself a better life; it's hard to find out sometimes what you need to do in order to get there, as it's all personal. But once you do, you’ll be looking back and thanking this time of year for giving you the buzz to do it!
