  • Belize is located on the Caribbean coast of northern Central America.
  • In order to travel to Belize, you first need to check if you need a visa or not. Usually, a valid passport is ok, but there are exceptions and it’s better to be safe than sorry.
  • Belize has two seasons, a dry and a rainy season. The rainy season is between June and November. The coolest month is January and the warmest is May.
  • The official language is english, but you can also hear Spanish, Mayan, Garifuna, Creole.
  • Currency: American dollars are accepted, but the official currency is the Belizean Dollar.
  • Medical care: With a population of a little over 350,000 and with more than a half of them living in poverty, the medical care does not have enough funds to offer high-quality care. That is why is best to check your insurance and avoid the trip if your health does not allow it.

Their specific dish is Rice and Beans cooked in coconut milk. Since Belize is getting more tourists each year, the cuisine has adapted and now you can find just about anything on the island.
